Rep. Gene DiGirolamo, joined by Sen. Tommy Tomlinson, announced legislation he is sponsoring in the House to increase penalties for those who intentionally endanger their children by leaving them unattended in their vehicles. The legislation is the result of several incidents of parents leaving children unattended to gamble at a Bucks County casino. Tomlinson is sponsoring the Senate version of the proposal. To honor the independence of India from Great Britain rule, the Indian Cultural Association of Pennsylvania (ICAP) Indian Cultural Festival was held Aug. 14, at the Bensalem Amphitheater. Rep. DiGirolamo was on hand to congratulate India on the anniversary of its independence. ICAP was founded in 2003 and is one of the largest ethnic, cultural organizations in the tri-state county.
